Who is building Bricklane
Jude Wilson, the founder, is building Bricklane with a design partner, one commercial contractor. Jude is from Ohio, lives in New York City and has a background in large service businesses.
Where it started
Bricklane started from one problem. At a service company whose commercial clients are each on a different recurring schedule, every finished job gets typed up again before it can be billed.
Bricklane is built so the tech signs off each job on a phone at the site, and the office bills it from there without retyping it. A client who pays by card or ACH can be charged and sent a receipt; a client who pays by check gets an invoice that stays open until the check arrives.
